Coaching
What’s the difference between Coaching and “personal training”?
Most personal trainers rely on their clients not thinking. They are happy when their clients leave the gym and have no idea why they did that workout. They count on their clients not quite achieving their goals. They call it called job security. If the client never achieves their goal, and never really knows what to do in or out of the gym for a workout, they’ll always need you. End of story.
At CrossFit 1776, when you hire us, you are hiring a coach. Our job is to help you learn, listen, think, be aware and responsible. We guide and steer you on your course. We’re always there to help you stay the course when the trials of life throw you off course. We make it clear from the start that YOU are ultimately responsible for your health, fitness and happiness. Our instruction focuses on proper movement, technique, physical conditioning, and the development of healthy workouts, eating habits, and commitment.
It will become clear, in short order, you’ve got all the essential elements, experience and confidence to make it through your life healthy, happy and fit for whatever challenges that may come.
If you would like private coaching, sessions are 60 minutes and cover whatever you would like to work on. If you’d like a nutritional consultation, private training (CrossFit, Underground Strength Training, Muay Thai or Wing Chun) or a detailed roadmap of how to reach your goals Matt is there to help you out! If you would like to hire Matt for one-on-one coaching the rate is $150 per hour. For more details send an email to Matt at matt@crossfit1776.com or call 757.344.8741 for more information today!
